Dental Crowns Watertown MA

Most dentistry looks like dentistry. Our goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable. We replace existing crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth.

Full coverage crowns (also called a "dental cap") restore severely damaged teeth. Repeated fillings, abrasion and fracture all contribute to loss of tooth structure. Eventually so much structure is lost that a tooth can no longer retain a simple filling. A crown, which is supported on the remaining base of tooth stucture, can often be used. (When the base tooth structure is deteriorated, dental implants can replace the tooth entirely.)

With 25 years experience, we are very confident in the quality of our work and the fantastic changes it can make. Dental crowns are long lasting restorations; it is not unusual for them to last a lifetime. Combined with dental implants, it is now possible for complete lifetime restoration of even severely compromised dentitions.

Dental Crown Procedure:

Placement of  a dental crown requires at least two visits to our Watertown dentist office, typically two to three weeks apart. (Next-day placement is also available.) Initially decay is removed and the tooth is precisely shaped.  A temporary crown of either plastic or metal is worn while the permanent crown is fabricated. On the subsequent visit the temporary crown is removed and the final crown is  cemented. The result is a beautiful long term restoration.
